Rescue Air Ambulance

Fort Vermillion Service Region

Aeromedical Emergency Services utilizes many different aircrafts for "rescue" purposes. Rescue Air Ambulances are any aircraft chartered for the purpose of transporting patients to a hospital facility. Aeromedical routinely provides Basic Life Support transportation via rescue air ambulances focussing primarily on the First Nations reserves in Northern Alberta.

Nor Alta Aviation is the primary rescue air charter company which Aeromedical utilizes. Charters are typically flown in a Cessna Caravan.

Rescue Air Ambulance

Helicopter Service Region

Aeromedical Emergency Services as well as Aeromedical Industrial Services routinely use rescue helicopter air ambulances to fly into remote rig sites, and into the First Nations reserves when it is not feasible to fly in with a fixed wing aircraft. Aeromedical primarily utilizes the AS350 (A-Star) for patient transport, but they also use the Bell 206, Bell 205, and the EC120.

Aeromedical has reliable partnerships with Gemini Helicopters, Delta Helicopters, and Airborne Helicopters. These providers are based out of High Level, and Rainbow Lake.
